The Carmel Police Department posted a video showing Officer Vincent DeSantola and his dog in action after they had responded to the report of 30 goats loose in the roadway.

K9 Pietro, a German Shephard, helped corral the goats and the department said they were quickly returned to their pen.

Restarting K9 Program

Pietro is named in memory of late Carmel Police Officer Gary Pietropaolo, Jr., who died in a 2018 off-duty motorcycle accident, reported WOLF radio.

The department said it restarted the K9 patrol in honor of Pietropaola after not having one for many years.
