A St. Paul, Minn., police officer who was convicted of identity theft is set to be sentenced Monday.
The 38-year-old female school resource officer was convicted last year of using someone else's identity to funnel money to her boyfriend, who authorities say is a gang member in prison.
While police were investigating a shooting, they discovered the officer had a relationship with Ramone Smaller, who was imprisoned after pleading guilty to third-degree attempted murder, ABC 5 reports. Authorities say she sent him $1,500 under a different name.
