3 Louisiana Motor Officers Injured in Presidential Motorcade Crash

Two Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies and a Sulphur Police Department officer were traveling by motorcycle as part of the escort when the crash happened.

Three officers involved with President Trump’s motorcade during his visit to Louisiana were injured in a crash Tuesday afternoon.

Two Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies and a Sulphur Police Department officer were traveling by motorcycle as part of the escort. The crash happened shortly before 2 p.m. as they were crossing Broad Street on I-210 W, reports WDAM.

All three were taken to a local hospital, where they were being treated for their injuries. One deputy was seriously injured, but is expected to survive.

The cause of the crash was not disclosed.
